Katja Kankaanpää Signs New Invicta Contract
Kansas City, Mo. — Invicta’s reigning strawweight champion, Katja Kankaanpää, has signed a new contract with the promotion. Read more here:
Katja who beat Stephanie Eggink at IFC 8 with a Submission (D’arce Choke) to take strawweight title and has a record of 10-1 and went 2-0 in 2014 and is ranked 7th in the world with Top 25 WMMA World Rankings.
We are waiting on word for the next Invicta card for 2015, nothing has been announced since their last card in December which leaves to wonder how long can these athletes wait on the shelf before their next fight.
The UFC has already booked 2 Strawweights fights for the year with Carla Esparza making at title defense since winning the title at TUF 20 along with 2 Bantamweight fights this year and we are still waiting for a Invicta card hope we find something out soon.
