Late Wednesday night UFC/Dana White posted on social media that Tate will defend her Bantamweight belt against the Lioness Amanda Nunes on July 9th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Tate a former Strikeforce champion who just defeated Holly Holm for the UFC Bantamweight Championship back in March with a fifth round submission. Tate who probably did the impossible but was capable of defeating Holly will be defending her belt for the first time to try to become a true champion according to many in the media and fans.

The Lioness who is on a three fight win streak is making her first run for the Bantamweight title, ranked 4th by the UFC and ranked 7th WMMA World Rankings is preparing for a battle that may well go the distance since both fighters look to be evenly matched. Nunes originally from Brazil is now fighting out of Miami, Florida with ATT. This is the first time that she will be fighting for a title with a major promotion in the UFC.

UFC 200 is shaping up to be a big card with Diaz vs. McGregor II as one of the main events on the card but it sure has some fire with these two ladies going at it. These two fighters will put on the best show of their careers and will try to make fight of the night or a bonus that the UFC offers after the fighters put on a performance that wow’s the UFC and the fans.

Good Luck to both fighters on their upcoming training camps and fight God speed.
