For those of our readers who don’t know a great deal about you, please write a short bio. I’m Lacey Schuckman; I was born and raised in Denver, CO. I began training in Martial Arts when I was 15 and began competing at 17. I compete in Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, and Muay Thai. I have 32 fights to date and am currently signed under the Invicta Fighting Championships banner.

Have you been involved in any sports other than martial arts? I played lacrosse for 3 years but it was quickly side lined once I found Martial Arts.

How did you get involved in MMA? I was always getting suspended for fighting. I met my husband when I was 12 and he did traditional Martial Arts and was a school wrestler since 6th grade. After too many times of him “practicing” on me I decided to start training. After about 6 months we began pursuing Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

What is your record and do you have any impending fights? I am 11-8 in MMA and I am hoping to be featured on the Invicta 15 card.

What is the status of your MMA journey and where do you see it leading? I have done Martial Arts almost more years of my life then I haven’t and competing is what I live for. I plan to make it to the top, I’m slowly working my way up. Skies the limit!

Tell us a bit about your life outside the cage. I spend my days instructing and training for myself. I enjoy gardening but other then that I rarely have much free time.

Do you currently have a nickname in this sport? If so, what is it and why? I’m known as “The Ladie” and yes it’s spelt that way. I spelled it like that because that way no one else could steal it. My old kickboxing instructor gave it to me as a joke because he always wanted me to act more lady like.

If you could offer one bit of advice to an aspiring fighter what would it be? Find coaches, management, and promoters you can trust to work with. Make sure they are in it for your benefit. That will take you where you want faster.

Would you like to give a shout out to any sponsors or individuals who have supported you? I’d like to thank:
