MMAfighting.com is reporting that a match between Daly and Markos is in the works for UFC 186 along with two other female bouts on the card for April 25th.
Some other websites are reporting that everything has gone through but UFC.com has not made it official as of today.
This fight will be a great Strawweight fight for Daly since her last fight in Poland had to be cancelled due Gadelha had to pull out due to back spasms during wrestling practice.
Markos is coming into this fight with an overall record of 4-3 and 0-1 in the UFC losing to Penne at TUF 20 finale and is looking to make a comeback in 2015. Markos who lives in Canada has not fought since losing her match in December 2014.
Daly who did very well at the TUF 20 finale and beat Alex Chambers to go 1-0 in the UFC and has an overall record of 15-5. Daly who made it in the TUF was seeded very low but did very well to earn her spot in the house and surprised many with her toughness and all around talent she showed.
Daly would come into this as a favorite and Markos would be the underdog. Markos seems to fade later in rounds but from the last loss she might have made adjustments to do a better in the cage. Daly has been around the world and back and has strong game plan with losses to top 10 fighters in the likes of Kankaanpää, Barb Honchak, and retired Rosi Sexton. Daly has a win against Jessica Eye who fights in the bantamweight division in which she RNC Eye in the second round. Daly who was fighting for Cage Warriors went 1-1 before being signed to the UFC for TUF.
UFC 186 will be headlined by Johnson vs. Horiguchi, with three female fights on the same card.
