"VALKYRIE 4"
Valkyrie begins their 2010 season with # 2 ranked Yuka Tsuji (22-1) defending her Valkyrie 115-lb Title against # 7 ranked Megumi "V1" Yamaguchi (5-2). Yamaguchi won her shot at the title by winning a 4-woman tournament, defeating Emi Fujino in April and then Kyoko Takabayashi in July (Takabayashi had defeated Windy Tomomi to advance to the finals).

Coming off a unanimous decision loss to # 4 ranked Super Flyweight Aisling Daly, Maiju Kujal (1-1) looks to get back on the winning track against Celine Haga (0-2). Haga will be looking to break into the win column after two tough losses in the Jewels events in Japan.

Sarah Kaufman Finally, after months of anticipation, we will get an answer to who is the best 135 pounder in women’s MMA. 
Number one ranked Sarah Kaufman (10-0) and number two ranked Takayo Hashi(12-1) will face off on the ShoMMA’s Strikeforce Challenger’s card Feb. 26 in San Jose, CA, according to the Showtime Sports website.  In a recent interview with Loretta Hunt, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker stated this will be a title match. “I think we’re going to be promoting Sarah against Takayo Hashi for our (vacant) 135-pound title,” said Coker.
