Amy Montenegro Contesting the first round Submission of their Fight
Facebook post of Amy and Dex Montenegro are telling the story that they are now contesting the outcome of the fight between Amy and Celine Haga, that Celine tapped in the first round by armbar before the bell rung.
From Dex: “Amy’s opponent and her “Manager” is contesting that they won the fight! We are contesting right back and saying Amy won the fight in the first round by Armbar! Share this video and my other video and let’s shine light on Amy’s first round Submission win!”
Does this hold merit since the ref called for the fight to continue since it showed that the bell had rung when Celine tapped or was it the other way around and the bell rung first when Celine tapped?
Dex goes on to say: “Here’s a short clip of Celine’s reaction after the tap! Also a short clip of the ref going over to the commissioner acknowledging there was a tap! EVERYBODY started saying “It was after the bell!” “That tap is questionable!” “that’s not even a tap!”…. Nobody wants to put light on Amy’s Armbar WIN after the first because going unconscious at the END of the fight is a lot more dramatic then a tap!
