Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant was named the winner of the 2016 National League Most Valuable Player Award, the Baseball Writers’ Association of America announced Thursday on MLB Network. He’s the fourth player in history to win MVP a year after winning Rookie of the Year, joining Cal Ripken Jr., Dustin Pedroia and Ryan Howard.
