Cris “Cyborg” Santos no new contract, but a new contract still being discussed

With the Zuffa acquisition of Strikeforce and no opponents ready to face the champ, Cyborg is still negotiating with a new contract. She has options now, Being a free agent, she can now fight for other companies whenever she wants. In an interview with Tatame reported early this month Cyborg stated she had already been planning to fight in her native Brazil in August for an independent promotion there. With the new status as free agent, It may also give Cyborg an advantage at the negotiation table.
Cyborg isn’t completely out of Strikeforce, as the negotiations continue.
