Amateur show set for Saturday The ICOR MMA Club will host an amateur show at 7 p.m. Saturday at Fit2Live Gym in Iowa City. The event will include 15 fights, including grappling matches, Thai boxing and boxing exhibitions. Local athletes representing ICOR, Hawkeye Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Valhalla Comba…t Club of Cedar Rapids and Des Moines MMA will participate.The show will include two four-man grappling tournaments, one at 140 pounds and the other at 160 pounds plus a special feature match between ICOR’s Lane Gries and Hawkeye BJJ’s John Gutta.There also will be a Thai boxing exhibition between Muay Thai fighter Chris Weitz and MMA fighter Andy Branson, and a boxing exhibition between Emily and Katy Klinefelter.Admission is $10 at the door.
