No Indians or Cubs player has won a World Series Most Valuable Player Award, because the honor was first bestowed upon Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Johnny Podres in 1955. This will be an important first for a member of one of these teams, so there could not be a more appropriate time to let fans have a say in this award for the first time in Major League Baseball history.
