Our Mission and Goals
Our Goal and Mission
This is a fair and unbiased system to rank fighters. Unless all of these factors are taken into consideration, voting for rankings becomes, more or less, a popularity contest. No bias. No voting. No favoritism. Just result-based facts. Rankings are EARNED, and are based on WHO-BEATS-WHO…while RATINGS are biased, often voted upon, and can be based on talent, popularity, skill, etc.., etc… These are not opinions. They are facts. We do not rank fighters based on opinions, popularity, talent, or conjecture. Every fighter’s record is carefully researched and has been tracked, historically. We don’t play games here. We rank fighters who deserve it, and have earned it.
A lot of people get upset when they don’t see their favorite fighter on our lists.
They think because they had a really good win in Promotions they should automatically be listed or even ranked in the Top 25.
Well, this isn’t a talent contest. These are World Contender Rankings…and they have to be earned.
If a fighter is listed on someone’s “RANKINGS”, based on talent, skill, potential, or popularity…then that isn’t a true RANKING. That’s a RATING.
It’s like seeding them according to their potential or how good they’ve performed. Sort of like how the Associated Press does with college football teams at the start of the season.
THAT’S A RATING!
But this is MMA. This is based on individual performance. And if a fighter WINS and EARNS her way to a top rating or rank, then she deserves to hold that spot until she either loses to a fighter…or loses her spot due to inactivity.
