Paige moves to (5-1) in her pro career (2-0) in the UFC and Felice moves to (10-6) in her career and (1-1) in the UFC.
Both fighters had a lot of hype before the fight in their pre-fight interviews with both talking a little trash and Felice even giving Reebok a nod for giving sponsorship to the wrong fighter.
The fight went off with a blast with both fighters coming out punching, knees to the body and kicking to the legs with ferocity that it looked like it was going to be a short fight for someone. The fight went all three rounds with Paige coming out on top with the Unanimous Decision.
Paige with being 9 years younger than Felice took the fight to another level and surprised her with all the blocks, defending the ground game and taking control of the cage that Felice had no chance of winning the fight.
At the beginning for Round 3 Paige had 120 total strikes to Felice’s 36 although she did not look beat up till later in the third round when Paige just turned it on with ground and pound, takedowns, and knees to the body. Felice held her own did get some good shots in but not enough to make much damage on Paige.
Felice said before the fight in the pre-fight interview that Reebok chose the wrong fighter which was a nod to the former Strawweight champion Carla Esparza. Paige proved Felice wrong and if you think about the interview maybe Felice should be thinking more about the fight than who should have a sponsorship deals.
Felice just showed the world what you don’t do before a fight is, don’t talk trash before you even fight, and make sure you win the fight before you talk trash.
If you want to be a champion be someone like Paige VanZant.
