The players who made the most noise with the lumber during the 2016 regular season are being rewarded Thursday with some silver that announces to the baseball world that they’re among the best hitters of their time. The Silver Slugger Awards, presented by Louisville Slugger, honor the top hitters at each position for each league in Major League Baseball, and this year’s recipients are being announced on MLB Network during a one-hour special.
