UFC fighters will be allowed to use CBD in 2018. The news comes after WADA announced their updated list of prohibitive substances, which included the removal of CBD. Cannabidiol (CBD) is an active cannabinoid in marijuana. CBD is used in several different medical applications and does not include the psychoactivity that THC is known for. WADA released the following statement on the subject. “Cannabidiol is no longer prohibited. Synthetic cannabidiol is not a cannabimimetic; however, cannabidiol extracted from cannabis plants may also contain varying concentrations of THC, which remains a prohibited substance.” Former UFC lightweight title challenger Nate Diaz first
