Amber Stautzenberger Defeats Kathina Catron at Legacy Fights in Oklahoma!
Amber Stautzenberger put on a amazing display of talent on Friday in Oklahoma against a tough opponent Kathina Catron at Legacy Fights 41 in Tulsa Oklahoma which was televised on AXS TV.
Both have fought before just last year for XKO 23 Amber getting the win in the first round with an armbar.
This time Kathina came a little better prepared but could not handle control the ground game that Amber was putting down throughout the match.
Kathina did come through with some heavy punches that did knock Amber around a little in the third round but a little too late for the judges to give her the round and Amber did take the round with lots cage control and some great ground game.
Both fighters did look sharp and don’t give Kathina any type of grief in the match she did take all the way and survived many armbar attempts and escape many clinches especially when everyone thought she was about to get rear naked choked out a few times throughout the match. Have to give Kathina props for hanging tough with Amber and getting a pop under her right eye that look a little nasty after the fight, hopefully she will learn from this experience and make some improvements.
Amber is probably now a prospect for Invicta in the strawweight division and hopefully will be called upon soon after fighting for 3 regional promotions the past 3 years and has been fighting MMA since 2007.
Amber has losses to Tecia Torres as an amateur and her pro debut loss to Paige VanZant she is probably looking to make a statement in Invicta and possibly head to the UFC one day and get back those losses.
Great job to both fighters hope to see them back in action real soon.
