Diaz, Silva tested positive for banned substances, how about Cyborg?
Well the news came out today that Nick Diaz and Anderson Silva both failed their respective drug test, statements here: and here: makes you wonder are the punishments really working for the fighters if they continue to use drugs to enhance their bodies.
As we all know Cyborg has a match coming up against Charmaine Tweet from Canada at Invicta FC 11 in L.A. are we going to see the same thing happen in women’s mixed martial arts? Cris Cyborg failed a drug test back in 2011 and was banned for a year makes you wonder did she really stop or find another way to conceal the use of PED’s.
Online chatter says that Cyborg is still “juicing” as they call it and has not learned her lesson and everyone wonders how the drug testing process for her upcoming fight with Tweet is going to be handled by Invicta FC; is it going to be as strict as last time or are they going to be a little more lenient since she has passed her drugs test for the last two fights?
Cris has been pretty quiet since she signed to fight Tweet and Invicta has said nothing about how they are going to handle Cyborg with testing since she has passed in the last two fights, is this where they are now trusting Cyborg to not cheat anymore?
In many cases I have come across these quotes: once a cheater always a cheater or once you do drugs you always do drugs, Lance Armstrong comes to mind. Does she really stop doing it or find better ways of hiding it? One thing that many people hate the most is that they try to blame a supplement or some diet drug in their vitamins or something to the fact, hey if your going to cheat and get caught at least own up to it.
lets see how this plays out with the next Invicta FC card Feb 27 in L.A.
