News just broke this morning that Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be defending her belt against the tough Rose Namajunas at Madison Square Garden November 4 in New York City, first reported by FoxSports.
Joanna who has defended her belt successfully 5 times now is looking for the sixth and with Rose it could be tough road. If Joanna completes this title win she will tie Ronda with most consecutive title defenses in a women’s UFC division at six-straight.
Rose who became a contender after her 2nd round submission over Michelle Waterson which she was heavy underdog in that fight earned her way to a title shot, although she lost her previous fight to Karolina Kowalkiewicz to a close decision she has notable wins against Tecia Torres, Paige VanZant and Angela Hill which propelled her to become the number one contender.
Good luck to both fighters on their upcoming training camps and fight.
