Paige VanZant looking to make a statement tonight and is ready become the next contender soon; but needs to fight a few fighters that are above her since she is ranked only #7 by the UFC and currently is only 5-1 and 2-0 with UFC as a pro. Paige tells many that it will take her two years to become a contender for Strawweight title.

Alex Chambers also is looking to make a shot for the contender spot but is too a little early to take on the champion right now and sports a 5-2 overall record and 1-0 with UFC will take some time to get a shot at the Strawweight title. Alex hailing from Australia is looking to take down the hot Paige VanZant who is 2-0 in the UFC and just beat Felice Herrig with a decision.

Paige and Alex come out swinging with punches and knees to the body in the first two minutes of the round and Paige gets the first takedown of the fight.

The fight is going the way Paige wants and Alex Chambers is taking all the punishment and sticking in there. Paige has total control in the cage with the clinch, punches and knees to the body.

Alex looks like she is a little weak against the scrappy Paige but is taking everything that Paige is giving her. I have to say that Alex is doing great and has awesome cardio and taking all the shots and even took a shot that took her down for a few seconds but was able to recovery and keep going.

Looks like the reach advantage is helping Paige also.

Paige VanZant was able to get the Armbar when Alex lost side control in the third round and was decisively and clearly relentless against Alex.

Congrats to Paige VanZant on her win and look forward to see her back in the cage
