Rin Nakai back at Pancrase ready to fight
According to a blog post that was posted yesterday by Rin Nakai, she has finished her contract with UFC and now is making a comeback to Pancrase and will be fighting at Pancrase 279 that will take place on July 24th in Tokyo, Japan.
The post goes on to say that she will be moving down to flyweight and possibly make a run at strawweight one day. She will be taken part of a tournament in July and fighters are being match to take on the Queen of Pancrase.
Rin didn’t have the best of fights with the UFC going 0-2 with those losses being to Miesha Tate, the current Bantamweight Champion, and Leslie Smith. Both fights went the distance but all rounds went unanimous to other fighters as Rin looked to be choppy at best.
Back with Pancrase she looks to develop on her skills and learn from her mistakes and making the move to lower weight might be the ticket for her and possibly one day back with UFC as a Strawweight going for the title.
Good luck to Rin and her camp on heading back to Japan and God Speed on your next fight.
