Maybe the Cubs’ slow start is a wakeup call for the defending World Series champions. “April is difficult,” Chicago general manager Jed Hoyer said before Tuesday’s 9-7 victory over the Brewers. “We’re drawing big conclusions based on tiny sample sizes. If we were 8-5 after 13 games, you feel good, and if you’re 6-7, you feel bad.
