Zingano Defends Rousey, Fires Off At Nunes For Post-Victory Disrespect
It’s safe to say that UFC champion Amanda Nunes had her best year in the sport during 2016, capping it off last Friday night with the biggest win of her career as well. Nunes faced former bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey for her much anticipated return in the UFC 207 main event and needed only 48 seconds to get the job done in dominating fashion.
Following her victory, Nunes said the fight was too easy and that Ronda should just retire. She also said she can’t believe anyone even lost to Rousey and that she trained harder for Miesha Tate. This didn’t sit well with UFC bantamweight contender Cat Zingano, who had previously faced Rousey, and also happens to be the last person to defeat Amanda Nunes.
I’m not petitioning a rematch yet @Amanda_Leoa I’ll earn it. You’re disrespectful of @RondaRousey & I detest you being ungrateful @ufc
