For those of our readers who don’t know a great deal about you, please write a short bio. My first fight was in 2011, after which I took a year away from looking for fights and continued in training. I’ve had 5 mma matches to date and one kick boxing match. My MMA record is currently 3-2 .

Have you been involved in any sports other than martial arts? I love sports. Growing up I played a variety of sports, just anything I could be involved in. I’ve always been competitive, and coming from a family where everyone played sports I was always looking for something more.

How did you get involved in MMA? I started in Tae Kwon Do when I was about 12. I quickly found my niche and began competing. After about a year I began training in other styles; and shortly there after I was competing in sport jujitsu competitions. It didn’t take long until the girls didn’t want to spar with me and my coaches started tossing around the idea of fighting once I was 18.

What is your record and do you have any impending fights? My MMA record is currently 4-2. I just fought on June 28th and won the Bantamweight Title for Titans Of The Cage. I’m excited to book fights for the rest of this year, as well.

What is the status of your MMA journey and where do you see it leading? I would say I am continually growing, both physically and mentally, as a fighter. You never want to stop growing or learning. Right now I see myself remaining on the amateur level for a bit longer, but eventually I plan to fight professionally. I would love to sign a contract with a top promotions.

Tell us a bit about your life outside the cage. Things have only recently slowed down for me. I recently finished my bachelor’s degree, so for now I’m taking a year away from school before I enter a masters program. I work full time and spend a lot time at the gym and at practice, so it doesn’t leave me much free time.

Do you currently have a nickname in this sport? If so, what is it and why? I do, it’s “The Edge”. It just kind of happened, I’m not totally sure where it came from. I have really sharp elbows that are known for giving a number of stitches, so maybe that was it. I’m open to suggestions for changing it haha. My coaches have always just called me “killer”.

If you could offer one bit of advice to an aspiring fighter what would it be? Train, train, train. Train with new people. Try out different styles. Never forget to go back to practicing your basics and polish them now and then. But definitely make sure you’re doing it for yourself, no one else. If you have doubts you need to sit down and evaluate them, because going into a fight when you have doubts is never a good thing.

Would you like to give a shout out to any sponsors or individuals who have supported you? Everyone who has supported me. I have a lot of people who are now all about being at my fights and taking pictures with me, and don’t get me wrong I love bringing in new fans to the sport, but my shout out is for ones who have been by me since day one. Those are the people who have helped me through the injuries, bad days, and losses.

Is there anything you’d like to add? Feel free to find my fighter page on Facebook, check out my personal page, hit up my psycho twitter haha. Support the WMMA community and especially all of your local fighters!
