For those of our readers who don’t know a great deal about you, please write a short bio. I’m originally from North Carolina but grew up in Southern CA. I love the outdoors, hanging out with friends and just being around people mostly. I have 2 nieces and a nephew that when I get some extra time I like to hangout with.

Have you been involved in any sports other than martial arts? I grew up playing soccer, field hockey, ran some track, swim team, football, basketball and some wrestling in high school.

How did you get involved in MMA? I got involved with MMA just after my back surgery in 2006 after being told I wouldn’t be able to do much psychically. Well I proved the doctors wrong there. After having 7 screws, 2 rods and 2 cages put into my back i was doing kickboxing 6 months after surgery. had my first ammy fight in 2009.

What is your record and do you have any impending fights? ammy 0-1 pro 0-3 hoping to have a couple fights before the end of the year but nothing set in stone as of yet.

What is the status of your MMA journey and where do you see it leading? My status is that I’m training as much as I can working a full time job. I’m either doing cardio on my own at a regular gym or training boxing/bjj/muay thai at west coast jiu jitsu. Just trying to learn and take in as much as I can. My dream before I’m done fighting is to fight once for Invicta FC.

Tell us a bit about your life outside the cage.  Outside the cage I work full time doing Loss Prevention, been doing that since 2005. I also ride a motorcycle and belong to a riding club called West Coast Deviant Dames. We are just group of Dames that enjoy getting out on the road and having a good time anywhere we go. I also have an awesome wife, Stacey, that supports me in and out of the cage no matter what I’m doing. Any other free time we are always with friends doing something.

Do you currently have a nickname in this sport? If so, what is it and why? My nickname currently is Harley. I was given that from my old manager because I rode my Harley everywhere including the gym. I have a different motorcycle now but the name Harley has stuck with me. People also call me Harley Socal due to the fact that I live in Southern CA

If you could offer one bit of advice to an aspiring fighter what would it be? Don’t rush into turning pro. Get as much experience as you can as an ammy. Train with anyone who you can and gain as much experience as you can.

Would you like to give a shout out to any sponsors or individuals who have supported you? Yes. I’d like to thank my sponsors for supporting me in and out of the cage. It has been a tough road but they have been by me every step of the way. Down 2 Scrap California Vitamins/SuperSpectrim American Knockout Wear LLC  Bone Deep Tattoos in Camarillo, CA Dr. Howard Fidler of X-Ion-X Performance Bracelet

Is there anything you’d like to add? I would just like to say thank you to WMMA News for allowing me to do this interview. A big thank you to all my friends and fans out there who have stuck with me no matter what. MMA just isn’t a sport its a family.
