History Being Made – Tweet and Barone Fight in Canada

According to Wednesday Night Fights “It will be the first time in Quebec that a Woman’s fight will be the main event for a Pro MMA Card. Congrats Anna M. Barone and Charmaine Tweet. History will be made.”

These two fighters have a background with each other; they met in the cage once before back in 2011.  Barone knocked Tweet out in just 18 seconds in the first round. Charmaine has made a comeback since then accumulating a 4-2 record but lost her last match with Canadian Julia Budd. Charmaine will be looking to avenge the 18-second KO that has haunted her for a long time. A big win over Barone could put Tweet in Invicta title contention with Cyborg.

Anna Barone has only fought once a year since 2009 and has not been in the cage since 2012. However, she has been active on Facebook and training. Her last fight in 2012 was against Kaitlin Young where she lost by TKO.
