“An Atlanta man allegedly enticed a Carrollton woman, promising her money and a modeling career, in an effort to sexually assault her, police said Monday.

Christopher Michael Stephans, 45, is currently being held in Carroll County jail on the single charge of rape. The man, whose address is listed as being in Buckhead, was denied bond in his first appearance hearing.

Capt. Chris Dobbs and Cpl. Joe Gramling of Carrollton Police Department said Stephans solicited the 20-year-old female victim through Facebook, soliciting her for a modeling opportunity to work as a “ring girl” at an upcoming fight at the mixed martial arts (MMA) arena he owns.

Through his Facebook solicitation, Gramling said, Stephans got the victim to send photos and set up a time and place to meet for an interview. The two met at the woman’s residence in Carrollton.

“During the course of the interview, he works his way into removing his and her clothing,” Gramling said. “She got to a point where she didn’t feel comfortable anymore, and that’s when he became physically aggressive and the incident occurred.”

Police said the incident occurred on Dec. 31 at a residence in Carrollton.”
