Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) 15 Adds Batara vs. Acevedo
RFA 15 will take place June 15th at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City, California, and will be televised live on AXS TV.
Rosa Acevedo and Kyra Batara are young 115 pros looking to gain some experience in the atomweight division. The atomweights are a relatively small division in the WMMA world but hold enough to have at least a top 25 WMMA world rankings.
Rosa is coming off a Unanimous Decision loss from Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger just over a month ago. She will be looking to rebound and improve her record which stands at 1-1. Rosa who last fought at flyweight (125) will drop all the way to the atomweight division for this bout. Acevedo is 5’5″ tall and Batara, 4’11.” However, we recently saw in the Correia/Duke fight that height does not matter. We wish her good luck on the weight drop and know Rosa will put on a great show for RFA.
Kyra who won her pro debut back in March of this year is looking for her second win of the year. She won her last match by armbar in the first round. In her amateur career, she went 4-1 with her last two fights at Tuff-N-Uff. Although Kyra is relatively new to the pros she is a fan favorite and will also put on a great show for RFA.
