Tell us a little about how you got into the martial arts scene. I grew up doing karate for 10 years. When I started college, I found MMA. I was told about the gym by a friend training there, went, and after a couple of weeks noticed the guys training in the cage and fell in love, haha. That was February, 2013. I won my debut fight in Houma, Louisiana in 0:58 in the first round by Guillotine.

What do you see in your MMA future? Taking my fights one night at a time, my goal is to be an undefeated amateur. Possibly turning pro sometime next year, whenever I’m ready!

What is your record? I am currently 1-0 and fighting again for Legacy Amateur Fight Series this weekend (July 12th) in Houston.

How’s life outside MMA? I am a senior at Hardin-Simmons University studying Sports Management. I work at a nutrition store here in town, along with training and helping my coach run things at the gym. I love music, and I love animals.

Tell us about your nickname. My nickname is “Singto Khaw,” which is Thai for “White Lion”. My nickname was given to me by my coach, who is Thai.

Best advice? Love what you do, and stay curious. Always be learning, and chase your dreams.
