For those of our readers who don’t know a great deal about you, please write a short bio. I’ve been doing martial arts for about three years and I am currently a student at Eastern Michigan University. I am going to school to be a physicians assistant and work as an EMT in my home town.        

Have you been involved in any sports other than martial arts? In high school I played softball and basketball.  

How did you get involved in MMA? Started a kickboxing class my freshmen year of college to stay in shape and fell in love with it. From there it grew from only kickboxing to judo and ju jitzu.          

What is the status of your MMA journey and where do you see it leading? I’m stoked to see the UFC created a 115lbs division and I’m hoping they make a 125lbs division soon. I’ll be going pro this fall and from there my eyes will be set on making it into the UFC.  

Tell us a bit about your life outside the cage. Outside the cage I’m a very laid back person and love to be outdoors. If I’m not working as an EMT I’m usually working on my dirt bike or motorcycle.       

Do you currently have a nickname in this sport? If so, what is it and why? My nickname is the Tazmanian devil and I actually got it from my softball coach in high school. They called me it because I was a little spastic with everything I did and always gave 110% in practice.  

If you could offer one bit of advice to an aspiring fighter what would it be? Always believe in yourself and train harder than what you think your opponents are. It gives you a clear head when going into your fight.
